Where do I park and how much does it cost?
City of Richmond pay parking lot at Gateway Theatre
Cost: $3-5, free after 9 pm
Free if you are a subscriber (at Gateway Theatre lot only, first come, first served)

I bought tickets online, how do I receive my tickets?
When purchasing tickets online, you can select to have tickets mailed or held at Will Call.
Mail – Tickets are mailed within a week of your purchase. Tickets purchased within 7 days of the event will not be mailed out and can be picked up at Will Call. Please note, in order to cover the cost of postage, there is now a $0.95+tax charge for having tickets mailed.
Will Call – Tickets are held at the Box Office can be picked up at the Box Office during regular hours or one hour prior to curtain on the day of the performance. If you are unable to do so, a friend can pick up your tickets as long as they provide us with your full name.
Are there taxes or fees on top of your ticket prices?
Ticket prices include taxes. Single ticket buyers pay a $3/ticket surcharge for exchanges (free for subscribers).
Can I exchange my tickets for a different day or time?
Requests for ticket exchanges to a different performance time or date will be accepted up to 48 hours prior to the performance date of the tickets you are holding. Please note there is a $3/ticket exchange fee. The difference in ticket price may be charged when upgrading your tickets to a more expensive seat. For maximum flexibility, consider purchasing a subscription so you can take advantage of unlimited free ticket exchanges!
Do you provide refunds?
Tickets are non-refundable; however a tax receipt can be issued if the tickets are donated back to Gateway Theatre. Tickets are also transferable should you wish to give them away.

Can I leave tickets at Will Call for someone?
Yes, as long as you provide us with their full name. You are responsible for letting your guest know where to pick up their tickets.
What if I lose my tickets?
We are able to reprint lost tickets for reserved seating performances, but not for general admission performances.
Do you have a group price?
We offer discounts tickets when you come in a group of ten or more, and we have flexible payment plans for groups of 20 or more. Email email@example.com or call the Box Office at 604-270-1812 to ask about booking your group.
Can I bring children to the theatre?
While some of our shows are great for children, most of our Signature Series shows are geared towards adults. Please call the Box Office at 604-270-1812 and we can help you decide if a show is appropriate. Please Note: All children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Please use discretion when choosing whether to bring children to a performance. Children must be able to sit quietly throughout the performance to ensure they are not disruptive to the performance and other patrons. Patrons with preschool aged children may be re-seated near a rear exit at the Front Of House Manager’s discretion, and be directed by an usher to leave the theatre at any time. Infants and toddlers are not permitted at Gateway Theatre Signature Series shows.
What if I arrive after the performance has started?
Patrons who arrive late for Main Stage shows will be seated at the back of the theatre during a break in the play so they do not interfere with the performance onstage or disturb other patrons. For all Studio Series plays, patrons will not be admitted after the show has started.
Do you have wheelchair seating?
Yes. In the Main Stage, patrons in wheelchairs are seated in the first row of the Orchestra-Left section and in the last row of the Orchestra-Right section. For safety reasons, patrons will need to remain in their wheelchair during the performance and may not transfer to one of our seats. In Studio B, wheelchair seating is nearest the door. Please note: Our accessible seating areas are not available for online purchase through our website - To purchase tickets in our wheelchair accessible seating areas, you must call our Box Office at 604-270-1812
How do I find my seat?
For MainStage shows, your seat number is indicated on your ticket. An usher will also be there to help you find your seat the show! Here is a detailed seating map for the exact location of your seat in the MainStage.
For Studio B shows, there is no reserved seating - it's first-come first-served.
Do you have performances for audience members who are blind and partially sighted?
Yes! We are proud to partner with to provide described performances. It's a Wonderful Life will be described on Dec. 19, 8pm and Dec. 23, 2pm. We offer free companion tickets - must be of equal (or less value) as the purchased ticket. To reserve tickets and description equipment, please call our Box Office at 604-270-1812.

Coat check service is available by donation, with all proceeds going to our volunteer program.

Complimentary booster seats are available for young children at the coat-check before each performance.
